Tim attended Tulane University Business School and received his undergraduate degree in 1987. He subsequently attended Tulane University Law School where he received his law degree in 1990. Upon being admitted to practice law by the Louisiana State Supreme Court in 1990 he began working as an associate attorney with the law firm that focused in part on consumer debt collections. It did not take long for him to realize that he did not find the collection side of the law personally satisfying. That realization is what led Tim to establish the law firm of Kirkpatrick and Associates.
